Montauk Hotel

Montauk Hotel are an indie-shimmer-pop act based in Dublin. Taking influence from the glimmer of early 80s indie-pop, Montauk Hotel have fused strong melodies with glistening guitars to create a sound that is their own.

Formed in late 2016, Montauk Hotel are made up of Claudia Verdecchia (vocals), Shell Dooley (guitars), Aoife Hester (bass) and Karima Dillon-El Toukhy (drums).

Montauk Hotel made an impressive impact on the Dublin live music scene in 2016 with shows including The Last Mixed Tape’s Lost Tapes series, The Sound House, The Bowery, Bello Bar, Whelan’s and Sin E and supporting acts such as Paddy Hanna, Beauty Sleep, Jem Mitchell and Tanjier. They continued their live presence in 2017 with headline shows in venues including Whelan’s, Sin E, The Workman’s Club, Retro Revival Indie Club, The Harbour Bar and Boyle’s of Slane, as well as slots at Vantastival, The Park After Dark festival and Sunflower festival.

Their debut single ‘Black Dress’ was released in late January 2017 to critical acclaim. Montauk Hotel launched their debut self-titled E.P. in March 2017 with a sold-out show in Whelans, Dublin.

The band released their new single ‘Sense of Place’ in August 2017 with a fantastic response from RTE, 2fm, The Irish Times, The Last Mixed Tape, Nialler9 and The Thin Air as well as international press.
